Got Milk? Try Not Milk. Soy Is Much Better!

soy_milk.jpgCow's dairy milk is wonderful...for the baby calf. With the exception of being a surrogate, no other mammal suckles on another mammal on a dependent regular basis. For decades, humans have consumed every cow's milk dairy product known to man and with the readily available information that clearly indicates how unhealthy this is, humans continue this absurd practice. Many people will argue that milk is important for protein, calcium, iron, and magnesium and there is no way a person can derive these important elements from another source. This is completely false.

Ask Dr. John McDougall, M.D., drmcdougall.com and he will tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is neither a need nor a good reason to consume any cow's milk products. Leafy greens, soy, nuts, seeds, legumes, avocadoes, tahini, and many other plant foods provide an ample source of all these nutritional elements and much more. Contrary to popular belief, cow's milk does not do a body good. Its excessive animal protein goes into the bones and depletes the calcium, leaving the human body vulnerable to all types of diseases, including osteoporosis. Soy is a wonderful substitute and offers much more health benefits and is much healthier to consume than dairy. Celebrities Bryan Adams, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, 10,000 Maniacs' Natalie Merchant and countless others happily tout the health benefits of a complete plant-based vegan diet. Be good to your body. Kick the dairy habit and learn about the countless benefits of soy, almond, and rice.
