This September 3rd, 2007, Labour Day, give your body the gift of health. Labour Day is celebrated as a day for the working person to enjoy a day off to rest and enjoy some relaxation. It's also a symbol of the end of summer. Known as a very hot day, traditionally, many people spend the day at the beach, at a park, or in a friend's swimming pool. It's the one day people across the nation forget about all the woes and stresses awaiting them at work and play in the hot sun. Unfortunately, unhealthy habits accompany the fun, resulting in a painful aftermath. This Labour Day, make it a special holiday to forget all your unhealthy old habits and reclaim your health. Forget all the high cholesterol artery-clogging poisonous meats that weigh heavy on your heart. Forget those bright, colourful, sweet, chemically, artificially-coloured and flavoured cupcakes and pastries that make better window decorations than food. It's time for a new healthy tradition. It's the 21st Century and it's time to enjoy the holiday in a saner manner.
It is easy to enjoy a fun festive holiday picnic with wonderful tasty treats while being kind to your heart and other organs. Take a little trip to your local health food store or the organic section of your local supermarket and treat your taste buds to a meatless vegetarian analog that will taste just like the real thing. A vegetarian hot dog on an organic bun with organic unsweetened ketchup, with healthy scrumptious vegan potato salad mixed with natural additive-free seasonings and vegan mayonnaise is so delicious, your taste buds will never know the difference. Move over poisonous soft drinks and replace these with organic naturally sweetened soft drinks that have herbs and organic evaporated cane juice or fructose. It's easier to enjoy a festive holiday when your heart feels lighter, your organs feel healthy, and your head is clear and focused. Add some fresh organic fruits to your picnic, like nectarines, peaches, and watermelon and some organic unsweetened vegan non-dairy egg-free chocolate cookies to your picnic and you now have a complete healthy delicious picnic feast to enjoy the festivities.
