Lavender Oil Heals Burns

lavender_oil.jpgPure lavender oil is wonderful for all burns. After relaxing by the pool one afternoon, my husband and I retreated inside to cool off and by early evening it was apparent that we both had terrible sunburns. We were both in tremendous pain and could barely move. We were afraid to touch each other. We poured a few drops of lavender oil on our skin and at first our skin was uncomfortable to the touch, but then within an hour, we felt tremendous relief! I could not believe what I was seeing. The burn literally faded right before our eyes and the intense heat was reduced to a pleasant cooling and we were able to walk again. We put a few drops of lavender oil on various parts of our body to cool off and the next morning you'd never know we had suffered from any sunburn.

Lavender oil is being used in burn wards for burn victims. Lavender is wonderful for any type of burn and it heals on contact. It's a good idea to pour a few drops of lavender oil on a cotton ball and apply gently to the burned skin. Lavender oil is a wonderful oil that's a must for your daily health kit and your survival emergency kit! Lavender is also wonderful as aromatherapy. Pour a couple drops of the oil into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and sniff the aroma. It's very healing and soothing.
